Amman – Jordan Publishers Association – The Technical Committee of the Amman International Book Fair 2026 has announced the completion of all organizational and technical preparations for the upcoming edition, which marks a pivotal milestone in the fair’s history as it celebrates its Silver Jubilee, the 25th edition.
Walid Sabah, Vice President of the Jordan Publishers Association and Chairman of the Fair’s Technical Committee, said in a press statement today that the committee began its work immediately after registration closed. It received all participation applications submitted by local, Arab and international publishing houses and developed a comprehensive action plan to directly oversee the various operational and logistical arrangements.
The statement stressed that the Silver Jubilee edition, held under the auspices of His Majesty King Abdullah II, from September 24 to November 3 at the Jordan International Exhibition Center at Mecca Mall, will be a distinctive edition supporting both local and Arab publishers. This comes despite the strong turnout and notable increase in participation requests this year compared with the limited exhibition space available at the venue.
The Chairman of the Technical Committee explained that the technical and organizational criteria had been carefully established to ensure the fair and balanced allocation of exhibition space, providing publishing houses with equal opportunities to showcase their publications and latest releases, while supporting the publishing industry and strengthening the presence of books at this prominent cultural event.
The statement noted that the organizational preparations included the approval of the general floor plan for the exhibition halls to ensure smooth visitor movement and prevent overcrowding, in addition to direct technical coordination with the relevant authorities to facilitate the clearance and receipt of books according to designated schedules.
The statement concluded by noting that a detailed work agenda had been adopted to monitor all field preparations step by step, ensuring that preparations proceed according to the established timetable and ultimately delivering an exceptional edition worthy of the Silver Jubilee and reflective of the distinguished cultural standing that the Amman International Book Fair has achieved throughout its successful history.
In addition to Chairman Walid Sabah, the committee comprises Mufleh Al-Jarrah, Mohammad Sobhi, Osama Abu Haltam, and Najeeb Al-Abbas.
