Chief of the Royal Court Meets with President of the Jordanian Publishers Union
Amman – Chief of the Royal Court, Yousef Al-Issawi, met on Wednesday with the President of the Jordanian Publishers Union and Director of the Amman International Book Fair, Jaber Abu Fares.
During the meeting, the Chief of the Royal Court was briefed on the efforts of the Jordanian Publishers Union in organizing the Amman International Book Fair — the most significant cultural event held annually under the Royal Patronage — and on the latest preparations for the upcoming 24th edition scheduled for the end of September.
Abu Fares presented the ongoing efforts of Jordanian publishers and their consistent participation in most Arab book fairs, which have resulted in some of them receiving prestigious awards.
The challenges and obstacles facing the publishing industry in Jordan were also reviewed.
